Because I love my mother. It may seem like a strange reason, but hear me out. For years now, I've watched my poor mother become increasingingly frustrated with new fangled technology that's just too darn confusing for her to figure out. Fueled mainly by irritation over her constant calling me for help, along with a smattering of my innate desire to make things look cool, my passion in life has become usability through great design. I love clean layouts. I love quick load times. I love minimum abandonment rates. But most importantly, I love programs, applications, websites, and systems that are really freaking easy to use (and that look sexy while they're at it). Essentially, I was put on this earth to make it a better place for not only mothers, but for people everywhere by empowering them through design that actually works.
